It was a lot of fun. We
experimented with using powder paint in a bid to be more authentic, but it did
not stick to well. We have preserved it
in photographs.
The children will report on it more soon…

We are learning how to be safe passengers.
We have to grow to 148 cm to travel
safely in an adult seat belt without a booster.
Many of us have a long way to go…
Mrs Fong is only just tall enough but Marco
and Luka’s dad is a lot taller...

Mission
Day
Mission
day was a lot of fun for us. Our buddies
from room 12 took us over to the stalls in the senior school. We got to buy toys, books and lollies and we
got to do some fun things. At the end of
the day we got together with the whole school on the field. Some people won prizes. It was a cool day!

Contemporary Maori Art.
To create
our art pieces we began by looking at and discussing a collection images
including, koro, Hei Matau and kowhaiwhai.
Then we
set to work using pastels so we could blend colour to make our own contemporary
Maori art work. Some of us chose to used
black edging to make the symbols stand out.
