Splish, Splash

Created by Blake, Oscar. Jack and Amith. This is their innovation of a book they read,  They had some wardrobe and standing challenges with the dolls they used in their photos.  They overcame by working together.  It never ceases to amaze me how easily the children are able to use ipad applications!  Enjoy this simple book...

Maori Legend Retell

We have been reading and writing about Maori legends.  This week the children worked in groups to create a simple retelling.  Before beginning they had to plan the process.  First they decided on the story they would tell (most chose the same), then they sequenced the main events, their next job was to list the characters and scenes before deciding who would draw each one.
Once that was done they set about creating their Puppet Pal creation.  They photographed and imported their artworks, animated and narrated their story.

Teddy and Monkey

The long awaited digital story from this group has been created.  They had to really think about the sequence of this story as well as how to use a new app.  This app allows for more editing but is not as simple as others we have used.  Benedict was a star in guiding the group through this.  If you listen carefully they were also learning about watching the numbers to know when to speak for their recording. As always they took the photos and dictated the text.   Fantastic work children!  I am proud of you

Look at the gorgeous poppies we drew in memorisation of Anzac day

Wendy, Ocsar, and Abigal.  Stayed focused setting up and taking photos, then dictating text in response to the book My Little Cat.  Didn't they do well!
