Capacity
This week we have been exploring the idea of measuring volume. We
have used a variety of non-standard containers to compare the volumes of
containers.
As part of our experiences we were challenged
to construct a cylinder to fit certain numbers of objects. Most of us did it! We
had to keep changing the size of our cylinders. Group b said, “First it was too big then we made it skinny
and it was to small. Then we made it a
bit bigger and it was the right size.”
